Open Hidje on Google Play and tap Install. Open the app, create an account with your email address and a password of at least 8 characters, and confirm your email address with the link we send you.

Then choose New family: enter your own name, your baby's name, date of birth, gestational age at birth in weeks and days, and birth weight.

Yes. Open app.hidje.app in Chrome and choose Add to Home screen from the menu. It then works like a regular app, with the same account.

Go to More → Family & account and copy the invite code. Your partner installs Hidje, creates their own account and chooses I have a code. From then on you both see the same thing.

If you create a new invite code, the old one stops working.

The family code is for grandparents and others who only want to follow along. You'll find it under More → Family & account, with a link you can send on. Whoever opens the link just enters a name. They don't need an account.

Viewers see photos, shared milestones, sounds and growth. They don't see feeds, diapers, sleep, medication or notes. You can see who is following and when they last looked, and you can remove a viewer. A new family code makes the old one invalid.

Yes. Entries you make offline are stored on your phone and sent once you're connected again. A small dot appears at the top right with the number of changes still waiting, and disappears when everything has been sent.

If you both logged the same thing while offline, Hidje points out possible duplicates afterwards so you can remove one.

To delete a single entry, photo or sound, open it and tap Delete.

To delete everything: go to More → Account and tap Delete account. If you're the last parent in the family, the baby's profile, all entries and all photos are deleted too. If you want to keep anything, download a backup first under More → Backup. There are more details on delete your account.

English and Dutch. The app follows your phone's language, and you can switch under More → Display. Your partner can use a different language from you; the data stays the same.

On the login screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email address. We'll email you a link to choose a new password. Open the link on the same phone.

Not yet. The web app works in Safari, but notifications and the camera behave differently there and we rarely test on it. Let us know if you use it on an iPhone, so we can tell whether there's demand.
